it comes. The Lord’s people have always been a waiting people. – Charles Spurgeon
Part 4: How to Wait
Waiting on God is like
going to the doctor
Step 1:
Call the Doctor (Prayer)
“Woe to those who go down to Egypt for help and rely on horses, who trust in chariots, because they are many in horseman because they are strong, but do not look to the Holy One of Israel or consult the Lord” – Isaiah 31:1
Step 2:
Listen to the Doctor (Listen to Scripture)
“My sheep hear my voice, I know them and they follow me” – John 10:27
Step 3:
Obey when Doctor says rest
(Obey God when he slows you down)
“He makes me lie down in green pastures”
– Psalm 23:2
“In returning and in rest, you shall be saved, in quietness and in trust will be your strength”
– Isaiah 30:15
“Be still and know that I am God”
– Psalm 46:10
Step 4:
Obey when the Doctor says act
(Obey God by acting)

them into my hand?” And the Lord said to David, “Go up, for I will certainly give the Philistines into your hand.”
– 2 Samuel 5:19
